papsi Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 Yes, I also have this problem, and it's pretty annoying, unfortunately. Note, that I didn't have this problem with older versions of this program. The whole thing started when the GUI was updated (this wasn't that long ago). Before the GUI-update, the little mode-picker window (where I can choose Data-disk, Audio-disk, etc) was inside a bigger (usually full-screen) window. But after the GUI-update, that bigger window was omitted, and the program would create the bigger window after I choose a mode. Unfortunately, this bigger window never starts maximized and looks much like the picture posted by the previous poster. When I click on the maximize button on the top of the window, the window is maximized but the panels are left messy, so I need to click on View -> Tile -> Horizontal to sort them properly. In some cases I can't even sort the panels with this solution, so I need to resize and drag them manually to their proper place. The biggest problem is, when I exit from the program, and start it again, the program forgets everything I did, so I need to resize the panels again. Also, I can't force the program to start maximized (using the program properties). This was easy before the GUI-update, because the bigger window was always present, but after the GUI-update, the program dynamically resizes itself. If this helps, I'm on Windows XP 32-bit, and I'm using CDBurnerXP 4.2.7.1801. I just hope this bug will be solved.
floele Report Share Posted January 24, 2010 CDBurnerXP will remember the last window positions. If it does not, there probably is a problem with writing to the Windows registry. Provide me with the error log in "%appdata%\Canneverbe Limited".
papsi Report Share Posted February 6, 2010 I've fixed the problem, but I don't know whether I could reproduce the problem, so maybe this workaround is not adequate. I seems that CDBurnerXP won't remember the position of panels if you exit from the program by clicking on the red X at the top right of the program window, or by choosing Exit from the File menu. But suddenly the program remembered the position, when I've closed the project and have returned to the mode-picker window (by choosing File -> Close). The next time I've started a compilation, everything was alright. BTW, this problem is the same as described here ( http://forum.cdburnerxp.se/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8209 ) and here ( http://forum.cdburnerxp.se/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8239 ). I plan to reinstall Windows in a week or two, so that will be the best way to reproduce the problem.
floele Report Share Posted February 6, 2010 I've also made a fix in the latest version of CDBurnerXP, maybe that already solved it.
