Does CDBurnerXP support data overburning?

Recommended Posts

The cangelog indicates that overburn is possible for audio cds, would it be possible for data cds as well? Eg, burn 705MB into a normal 700MB disc?

Thanks.

Where did you read that? Overburning is ONLY possible for Data-CDs.

Oops, looks like I got confused. I read DAO was supproted for burning audio and automatcialy assumed that DAO = Overburning. My bad.

I tried overburning 5mb of data, but got a critical error everytime it reaches 99%.

Maybe the discs you use does not support overbunring? Or the drive? Usually it should work.

Unlikely since the same discs works fine in burnatonce. Is there any settings that I should tweak? All I did was put 705MB of data into the main window and click the write menu. There was a prompt about being oversized, but I clicked continue nonetheless.

Hope I'm not doing something wrong here and many thanks for the support.
