my DVD-RW TSST Corp CDDVDW SH-S223 is not being recognized by CDBurnerXP, my guess is the SIS Chipset driver. System as follows

Windows 7 64bit

ECS 755-A2 Mainboard

SIS 964 (incl SIS180) Southbridge

CDBurnerXP V4.2.7.1893

Firmware of the drive was already updated to the latest. The drive is S-ATA and in the compatibility list, by the way. With Windows itself and Nero the drive works just fine. Checked the driver details in the device manager for the chipset and drive. Both is from Microsoft itself. SIS doesn´t seem to offer any specific driver for Windows 7.

Read something about AHCI related problems in other posts, checked my BIOS but it has no option like this. Verified admin rights aswell.

Any idea for a workaround or different source for this behaviour?

Just as an addition. I figured out that the drive gets recorgnized when using "Burn ISO Image" and "Erase Disk", both options also work. That´s pretty strange as with the other Options "Data/Audio/Copy Disk" it is not being recorgnized. For me it points to a possible bug in the program. Maybe it´s the same with all those other´s having problems with the drive recorgnition aswell?
