DVD-RW burn error using CDBurnerXP

Recommended Posts

Recently I used CDBurnerXP to burn some software in to a DVD

Re-writeable disc.

I choose -> Let me choose advanced settings. In that i choose

Burn speed: 2.4x(3,245 KB/s)

Number of copies:1

Under Burn Method:

Session at Once

Under BUrn Options

Use buffer protection

verify data after burning

After the burn process was completed later when I inserted the DVD

Re-writeable in the drive the disc is being shown as empty and can not be accessed nor can

it be erased with CDBurnerXP or any other media editor. It being a

Moserbaer Re-writeable DVD, it should at least be possible to

erase it. I get the message disc is not Re-writeable.

previously I had burned some software into the DVD-RW and I could

access it also. I faced the above problem since the time I burned

some more software into the DVD-RW using the above mentioned

application i.e CDBurnerXP Kindly advise how to erase the DVD and make it reusable.

My dvd drive is NEC DVD_RW ND-2510A

In anticipation.

Rgds

First of all, is the image a CD or DVD image? You can't burn a CD ISO image to a DVD. It won't work.

Second, burning software nearly always has an option for burning an image to a disk. You don't do a normal burn, as you would with other files. Look for a "burn CD image" or "burn DVD image" option in the software.

But the big question is why are you downloading bootlegged games? Do you know that this is not only stealing, but that the game images could be infected with all kinds of crap?

Well, good luck with that.
