Nec 1300A can't select greater speed as 2.0x

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My NEC 1300A can go at these speeds:

1.0x, 2.0x, 2.4x, 4x (on dvd+r or dvd-r)

2.4x (dvd+rw or dvd-rw)

but i can't select a greater speed then 2.0x, what can i do about it?

You can't do anything apart from tying to use other mediums or updating firmware.

Well, in previous versions there was a option to hide burn speeds that were not supported. If you unchecked that option, you could select 4x, which worked perfectly. In the new versions, I nowhere can find that option. I want it back!!!

This feature is only available for audio-CD and currently there is no way to implement that for Data-Burning...at last as far as I know.

Well, I'm very sure that I have burned a DVD at 4x with my NEC 1300A, using CDBurner XP. There was an option (File -> Preferences) that said something like 'Hide unsupported speeds' or something like that.

That was in version 2.

Could be. But maybe a good idea to implement it also in version 3, seems to me quite easy to do...
