CDBurnerXP conflict with portable drive

Recommended Posts

Guest Sonofonan

I've searched the forum for this particular problem, but didn't come across it. My apologies if it's already been covered ...

I recently bought a Buffalo HD-CXU2 usb-connected external drive. Now, whenever I start CDBurnerXP the program won't fully boot up; that is, when I look at Task Manager it shows CDBurnerXP as an active process, but the program doesn't appear on screen. When I disconnect the Buffalo drive, however, CDBurnerXP instantly pops up on my screen. I can then reconnect the drive and everything is business as usual. So every time I want to burn to disc, I'm going through this rigmarole. Can anyone tell me if I'm missing something or otherwise offer me some advice?

Thanks ...
