ztumaster Report Share Posted April 9, 2010 Hi, I have noticed if i am copying a disc that is 8x(write) then the copy speed is also limited to 8x as well (despite being 16x blank media), but if i insert a 16x disk to be copied then CD Burner XP will allow me to copy at 16x. I am not sure if this is a bug? or is CD Burner XP syncronizing with the orginal media write speed?. CD Burner XP - 4.3.0.1991 Writer - TSST-H653Z (SATA) Thanks in advance. floele Report Share Posted April 10, 2010 If you insert a 8x disc, the max supported write speed will appear to be 8x. Only after you insert the disc that is to be written to, the max. supported write speed will be 16x. CDBXP cannot just assume that the supported speed will be 16x at the start of the process.
