CDburnerXP "stopped working" right after I click on the icon

So as the title says, I can't start the programme anymore... Worked fine about 4 days ago but now when I click the icon to start the programme I immediately get that "CDburnerXP has stopped working correctly" message from Windows without the programme even started.

My pc:

E8400

HD4850

nothing overclocked or anything and running Windows 7 for about a half year flawlessly. Been searching for a solution for about a day now and it seems the latest Windows .NET framework update is causing the problem but I'm not sure about that.

Hope you can help me!

PS: I have already tried uninstalling and installing the latest version of CDburnerXP but same problem

Unfortunately nothing turns up when trying to open CDBurnerXP and viewing the Event Viewer.

There should already be some entries from earlier crashes in the event viewer, check the application log of the event viewer. (Windows protocols -> Applications)
