Secunia Advisory SA31949 & SA31936

Recommended Posts

According to Secunia, CDBurnerXP is currently "unpatched" in regard to a two-year old vulnerability. The mitigation is to set the kill bit for the NMS DVD Burning SDK ActiveX Control. (see details below)

1) Has this vulnerability been addressed in the latest versions of CDBurnerXP?

2) What are the known impacts of disabling this ActiveX control? Will this killbit limit the functionality of CDBurnerXP in anyway?
