LG GH24Ns50 Super Multi drive - not recognized - strange!

Ok - so I bought two LG GH24Ns50 Super Multi drives, one for myself and one for the gf in a new build I made for her.

Here's the strange part. On my computer, the drive is recognized by CdburnerXp fine, but not so over at my gf's.

We are both running Windows 7 and are updated appropriately.

On the gf's computer, you can burn DVDs using windows, but CDburnerxp doesn't recognize the drive at all.

I had MagicISO installed on her computer and I thought that might be interfering. So I uninstalled and went through to registry deleting all keys that referred to MagicISO.

I did the same with CDburnerXP

On reinstall - same issue - doesn't recognize the drive.

Any thoughts anyone?
