BD-RE (empty space is not detected)

Recommended Posts

I am using CDBurnerXP for some time and i am very happy with the

program but burning my first Blu-Ray (with my new Blu-Ray burner) does not

work.

AT first, cdburner does not recognize the correct disksize.

So i set it manually.

If i start to buren, cdburnerxp says:

Required: Writeable disk; 22,32 GB free

Present: Writeable (BD-RE (Blu-Ray)), 0,00 Kb

I cannot burn because CD-Burner XP assumes that the disk has no free space !?

The Disk->Information shows that 23.21 of 23.21 Gigabytes are free.

Erasing the disk works fine but it does not help in any way!?

I am using XP (with all updates), CDBurnerXP 4.3.8.2474, the

LG BH10LS30 burner and a Sony BD-RE (25 Gigs). Burning DVDs

work without problems.

Any ideas ... Bärli

Hello,

I can confirm exact the same issue.

I also have the same configuration:

I am using XP (with all updates), CDBurnerXP 4.3.8.2474, the

LG BH10LS30 burner and a Sony BD-RE (25 Gigs).

My hardware is a new Intel board DH67CL with an i7-2600K.

For SATA the AHCI mode is used and the Intel Rapid Storage driver (without this driver CDBurnerXP don't recognize the BH10LS30).

Hi. I had the same problem, and finally found the remedy. Erase the BD-RE disk first (select "Secure" method). Then the free space will be recognised.

Pls. leave your feedback, if this helped.
