floele Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 Can you check if a more recent StarBurn library works better? http://daily.cdburnerxp.se/cdbxp_setup_4.3.8.2552.exe
Dave456 Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 Sure I'll check it out. Before I do the install do I need to uninstall the other version or will this overwrite the necessary files?
floele Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 Just overwrite, thanks.

floele Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 So in other words: No more issues? Can anyone else confirm?
Dave456 Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 No more issue for me Flo.
Captain Lars Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 This is what I get now: Which can't be true since I tried it with four different virgin CDs, and it always tells me the same.
floele Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 Hm, what does the disc information window say? Also please make sure that you have been selecting the right drive (if you have multiple burners).
floele Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 No more issue for me Flo. OK, thanks. Will release this as an official update later.
Captain Lars Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 It says the same as quoted above from an earlier post of mine. I have only one burner and I can also remember that it displayed the correct drive.
Dave456 Report Share Posted May 3, 2011 Flo I decided to check on the data burning disc and there is no compatible drive, close program and select audio disc and it still burns an audio cd.
floele Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 It says the same as quoted above from an earlier post of mine. I have only one burner and I can also remember that it displayed the correct drive. I am not talking about the "disc required" window but the seperate disc info window: http://cdburnerxp.se/help/References/mediuminformation Don't think you posted that yet. Captain Lars Report Share Posted May 7, 2011 Yes, Ctrl+I, "Medium Informationen".
floele Report Share Posted May 8, 2011 So where is your medium information? I'd like to see it.
O. B. Haag Report Share Posted May 13, 2011 Hi, I've been following this thread for a while since I've had exactly the same problem as Dave456. Just thought I'd tell you that you're not alone, Dave! Flo I decided to check on the data burning disc and there is no compatible drive, close program and select audio disc and it still burns an audio cd. The above applies to me too right now (after updating starburn et.c.). When trying to burn a data disc (a DVD in my case) the program doesn't find any compatible drive. Burning audio discs works, though.
Captain Lars Report Share Posted May 15, 2011 Hello Flo, sorry for not being able to answer you earlier, but family issues had to be treated with priority. So here is what you demanded, I think: That's why I said that I posted it earlier, cause it did not change a bit, at least to my unschooled eyes.

floele Report Share Posted May 15, 2011 Sorry, didn't see the images yet, have been blocked by the forum. Sure, the pictures are similar, now that I see them. You didn't send me a log of that error yet, right? Please do (http://cdburnerxp.se/help/kb/18), I'll then forward this information.
