No Target device for the Burning Process (Data disc only)

Problem:

CDBurnerXP Start-Menu-Item "Data disc" (only!) -> "Target device for the Burning Process" is empty

Version:

CDBurnerXP V4.3.8.2568

DVD-Device:

Pioneer DVD-216D (is in Compatibility-List of CDBurnerXP)

OS:

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit in AHCI-Mode

Solution Description:

Update Intel AHCI-Driver to Version 10.6.0.1002 (08.06.2011)

-> Extracting File-Data into new Directory

-> Studying F6ReadMe.txt if OS is in AHCI-Mode

-> Yes, we can: Driver-Update via "Device-Manager" / "IDE ATA-ATAPI-Controller" /

Intel ® Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller /

Driver / Driver Update with Fils from "10.6_f6flpy-x86.zip"

-> First Reboot after Installation Process hang up while "Windows is starting" (oh, oh...)

-> Second Reboot with "Normal Start" had Success

-> CDBurnerXP / Data disc shows DVD-Device! Hip-Hip Hooray!

-> Total waste-of-time: 2 hours... More luck for you
