audio CD verify?

Recommended Posts

Nope, and it's not quite possible either.

Thank you for your reply, Flo! (And thank you for an excellent program I've been recommending to friends!)

I see other programs appear to Verify audio discs; is the truth behind that appearance flawed somehow>

Minor errors do not prevent the disc from playing.

True; but if it's possible to avoid them (and other programs do occasionally "find" errors), I've hoped to avoid them compounding over generations of copies.

Thanks :)

If that is your goal, store a copy of the original disc on your hard drive and burn these files every time. Or burn the audio files as data disc, which provides sufficient error correction data (as opposed to audio discs). These discs won't play on a regular CD player though.
