Unable to burn directly for cdburnxp

Recommended Posts

I have 2 identical Machines the only difference is the operating system. One is the windows 7 64 bit. The other machine is running windows xp 32.

according to cd burn xp the drive Vendor: PLDS; Model: DVD-RW DH16ABSH; Firmware version: YL32

CD burn xp will burn ISO to DVD or CD on windows 7 but from the create data compilation all I get is the ability to create an ISO.

Any Ideas on how to fix this

Thanks

Hi,

I have the same problem with Windows 7 Pro x64 and CD Burner XP. I can burn fine ISO, Music disc, disc to disc, video disc... but I have the message "no compatible drive found" when I want to burn data. I also have LPDS DH16ABSH SATA drive.

I tested CD Burner XP on another computer that run Windows 7 Enterprise x64 and I get the same problem...

I don't think this problem is coming from the drive compatibility but a incompatibility between Windows 7 x64 and CD Burner XP.

In hope that someone in dev team will read this message and solve the problem with Windows 7 x64 !!!!

P.S. I have a turn-around solution for the moment... but is not the ideal solution. I can burn to an ISO image with CD Burner XP then burn the ISO. It's really weird that CD Burner XP allow all other kind of burning, but not the data disc option.
