HL-DT-ST GT50N isn't visible by CDXP

Recommended Posts

I have Dell Latitude E5520 laptop with HL-DT-ST GT50N drive (it's named HL-DS GT50N on Dell website). CDBurnerXP doesn't see it, however the drive is visible fine by Nero Burning ROM and works.

In the Compatible drives list of CDXP there is a drive "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N", but I'm not sure if "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N" = "HL-DT-ST GT50N" or if these are totally independent models. Perhaps, any suggestions if GT50N doesn't work due to it's unsupported by CDXP or if it should work ?

It is really strange because CDBurnerXP can still burn ISO image using this drive. If you start CDBurnerXP and point to ISO image there is no problem. But when you want to make new data compilation there is no means to burn it because "there is no compatible drives". I work on Dell Vostro laptop with Windows 7 Pro OS.

After installing "iNTEL Rapid Storage" Software (iata_enu_10.8.0.1003.exe) the drive is now also detected for "Data Disc" and "Audio Disc" mode.
