I have also the same problem. Win7 finds player, but CD Burner XP doesn't.

Is there a solution?

The Lite-on iHAS124 is not a BLu-Ray burner - just a standard SATA DL DVD+-R/RW burner. Works fine in my XP box - but not on Windows 7. Tried an LG SATA DL DVD+-R/RW burner that also was not recognized. I have a Asus MB (M5A97), Seagate SATA 7200 HD. Pretty much a plian Windows 7 box, but CDBurnerXP cannot find the burner. ImgBurn can, but that (ImgBurn) is such a difficult program to use. Help!!!!!!

Hello, I have 2 similar cases & have got the solutions.

CDBurnerXP 4.4.1.3099

OS : Windows7 64 bit

CASE 1

----------------------------

MB : Intel DH61WW

Optical drive : SAMSUNG TSSTcorp_CDDVDW_SH-222AB

Connected in : SATA2 3.0 Gb/s connector

BIOS set to : AHCI

Intel Rapid Storage : not installed

Result : Optical drive NOT DETECTED

--> Problem solved after Intel Rapid Storage Technology installed.

CASE 2

----------------------------

MB : ASRock H61M/U3S3

Optical drive : Liteon ATAPI iHAS124 C

Connected in : SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connector

BIOS set to : AHCI

Intel Rapid Storage : installed

Result : Optical drive NOT DETECTED (only in DATA DISC CREATION)

--> Problem solved after Optical drive remove from SATA3 & connected in SATA2 (3.0 Gb/s)

Hope it helps

GOOD LUCK & thanks to CDBurnerXP. Great software !
