Add RTL UI to Hebrew&Arabic users + link to cdburnerxp website + "About" window

Recommended Posts

Thought you'd never ask :)

Enter CDBurnerXP in hebrew mode > Copy Disc > 2nd tab > Under the "אירוע" (in english- event), the "התקן המקור שונה אל" (the device's source was change to) and the "התקן היעד שונה אל" (the device's destination was changed to) are LTR texted, so it looks like this-

התקן המקור שונה אל: D: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S

instead of-

D: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S :התקן המקור שונה אל

Oh and BTW, the string "time elapsed" there is "hidden". (הזמן שעבר)

Would you like me to show you all of them? It was just an example.

Preferably you send me screenshots and highlight everything that is wrong. I can probably look into it after releasing the next beta, when I get back from my holidays.

Text is mirrored, still.

The text there when hovering is LTRed.

The whole selection there is LTR + the "רמת ISO:" is also LTR.

Note: Can you make the whole UI font type same as this "רמת ISO:"?

This window is LTR UI + LTR texted.

Same.

LTR text.

All the text there is LTR.

In english it will make no sense:

Yes :CD-R read.

Also, the green V orb is mirrored.

There are probably more of these, but I can't capture all of them.

Regarding the first one: Didn't you tell me that has been fixed with the latest release? After changing it back and forth, I don't feel like making further changes there.

Can't remember :x

I do remember I told you this twice.

Did you understand my point about RTL text?

You need to download 4.5.

Oh yeah!

Only.. 2 glitches:

1. Under the 2nd tab, the strings under "Event" aren't RTL'd.

In english it would be: "D: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200S :Source device changed to".

2. Under the 2nd tab, the "Time elapsed" is almost not visable.

Great work, keep it up ;-)

Thanks for the new release flo.

I managed to get hold of a screenshot that can explaine one of the issues I mentioned few pages ago.

78693684.png

Ignore the transparent effect.

The issue is when you close the compilation (using the integrated red X button), the menu bar disappears and then the window closes.

That's one example, it's happening in every part of the window. I think it causes slowness when you close the window. It's like the app is trying to disassemble itself in parts instead of one time bang.

The issue corresponds to Audio Disc & Data Disc only.

Oh and btw.. you said some time ago that in few releases after 4.5, the entire RTL issue will be fixed.

Any progress with that?

Thanks.

I don't have much influence on the painting, that rather seems to indicate some general slowness.

I'm currently looking into StarBurn related issues, don't have a lot of opportunity for RTL. I also need to work on some UserVoice items once in a while, so I can't always put RTL first place.

Oh come on! Same RTL issues in the new version :<

Can you re-assess when will you have some time to work on the RTL issues?

Thanks.

BTW, did you include my latest hebrew translation to CDBurnerXP?

Meh, after the latest build, some icons had flipped position. So did the "drag and drop files here or use the "add" button...".

Translation would be uploaded today I guess.

When looking at the "show before print" at the print thumbnails, the window isn't RTL'd as the preview of printing cover.

Can you tell me what exactly is the problem with the icons? Screenshots?

Preview dialog should be fixed in the next release.

I think I can fix the icons for the next release, but this cannot really be a new issue, since there were no changes in this regard.

Are you planning on fixing the flipped text, too?

Not sure...every now and then you say it's broken, then it's fine again. I don't really know what is right and what is not, your symbols look the same to me whether flipped or not ;)

Just one thing that came up.. Don't you want to add an option to choose printer for every possible printing job in the app? I don't think it should be hard. I mean this window-

http://bender.library.american.edu/print/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/print_dialog_7.jpg

You get this window before printing, don't you?

Arg!! Now you're being mean :<

Then I said it was OK only if you enter Audio Disc first (or Data Disc? Can't remember).

Now it's happening all the time, regardless of what you enter first.

You get this window before printing, don't you?

I am, but if you'll try to print from the preview window it'll print automatically using the default printer.
