BD cannot be read by bluray player

Recommended Posts

Guest CLAUDIU

Hi,

I burned an AVi file on a DVD and my stand alone BD bluray player was able to read it and play it.

I tried the same thing with 30 AVI files on a Verbatim 25GB , Pioneer 206 internal BD burner; the files are burned OK, I can see them on my PC but the stand alone BD player will just speen the disk for 30 sec and will open the tray after that.Once again, with a DVD works fine.

Any idea?

thanks,

Claudiu

I believe it depends on the video format being used for the AVI files. CDBurnerXP does not do any conversion, so you need to be sure that the format/video codec can be played by your DVD player.

thank you for your answer!

As I said, the same AVI file will play just fine from a DVD but not from a BD.So is not a problem about format/video codec .

Blu-ray movie is UDF 2.50 or 2.60. I do video edition: I edit video with Edius 6.07, than it is exported with a compatible preset to BDM and at last, not at least, I do the "authoring" work with BDM format.

A single .Avi file will work if you are a lucky man...
