TSSTCorp SH-222 is not detected. This is the third in a row drive that I have used that CDburnerXP has not been able to detect. It's been a span longer that 2 years with the inabilty to use this once great software. I give up. What is the problem.

OK I had the same issue with my SH-222BB, I managed to get it working.

1. Update the DVD R/W firmware (not sure this was the most important part though, but do it)

Firmware updated from SB00 to SB01. (reboot)

2. Update your chipset's drivers (probably what people do when they install Intel RTS)

You can try to auto detect. http://www.intel.com...support/detect/

Didn't work for me. I had to get it manually.

Got an ASUS P8Z77-V_LK, updated to Intel_Chipset_V9301019_LK_XPWin7.zip from Asus website.

Reboot, reboot again, all good.
