Unable to copy DVD discs

Recommended Posts

Today suddenly I can't use CDBurnerxp to copy dvd discs I made myself before.

I am not sure it is a software issue or hardware failure. It was working before.

the log can't be attached. Here is where the error code is:

So what exactly is the issue? Is the source image created incorrectly (1,4MB seems a bit small)? Does an error occur during burning? Is the empty media not detected correctly?

The issue is what is shown in the screenshot, the copying process stopped because of the programs thinks there is 0 bytes present, which I don't understand what it means. I have only one dvd drive on my pc, the source disc plays fine.

Today I tried to copy the same disc on a different windows 7 machine which has Roxio installed, Roxio was able to copy the whole disc to an image, (albeit .gi, not an .iso ). So I guess it is probably because cdburnerxp couldn't handle this format of the disc? This dvd was created on a panasonic dvd recorder which record the content directly from a TV input.

Does it work if you copy the ISO image to hard disc first and then burn the ISO image? Does clicking "Refresh" make any difference?
