floele Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 Finally, after more than one year of development (on both my side and StarBurn Software) I have been able to release the new version 4.5 final of CDBurnerXP yesterday. In this release the underlying burning engine has been replaced by a new and more stable one. This especially affects the device detection, there should no longer be any situations where CDBurnerXP does not recognise your device. There are still a couple of issues left that will be fixed as soon as possible:Some discs created with CDBurnerXP 4.4 cannot be continued (imported) by CDBurnerXP 4.5. This cannot be fixed unfortunately. If you have any open discs, use 4.4 until finished.Setting a custom date/time for files and folders is not yet possible."Publisher" and "application" information are not burned to discs with UDF file systemWhen importing older sessions, the file size of the imported files is not shown in the file list.Verification does not currently provide a list of failed files (if any)
ItielMaN Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 At last.. the long waited 4.5 is here I didn't quite understand this line: * Automatically set "hidden" attribute of files and folders Heh? Why? Does it mean the burned content will be hidden?
floele Author Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 It will be set based on how it's set on your HDD.
ItielMaN Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 Oh nice thinking! For example if theres a (hidden) autorun.inf or thumbs.db in a specific folder, it will show up in the disc (after burning) as hidden too?

Bovski Report Share Posted January 6, 2013 LOL Good luck haven't been ablo to verify a data disk since autoupdating to 4.5 Gone back to 4.4.1.3243 that I had on a backup disk and disabled auto updates. Verification doesn't work because it locks the files so even it cant read them. :'(
floele Author Report Share Posted January 7, 2013 I'm not aware of such issues. The file locking is intentional though.
Grand Report Share Posted January 10, 2013 Hi, I tried burning several data files on DVD last night. Even though I set the burning speed at 1x, it went ahead and burned the DVD at 8x speed. Is this an intended feature, or is it a bug? Thanks.
