4.5.0.3661 / Windows 7 - label: file name gets shortened

Recommended Posts

Suddenly, when I type the file name in "label" of less than 16 characters, the file name is truncated to about 12 characters, possibly less. Tried uninstalling and re-installing - didn't help. Need full name because I describe and date code my CDs and DVDs. This has not happened previously; I've been burning with CDBurnerXP for two or three years.

Please help.

You are quite right, floele - my apologies, I just checked and there are more than 16 characters.

However, up to a few days ago I was able to burn discs with up to 32 characters e.g. Movie Docs & Shorts 24/6/2012-1

What am I doing wrong/how can I re-enable the previous facility? I am talking about burning discs in the section Data Disc - Allows you to create ISO images, burn usual data discs, MP3-CDs, from which I have never deviated.

How do I configure ISO/Joliet?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Disc -> "File system" allows you to use ISO/Joliet, for UDF longer disc labels are not currently possible. ISO/Joliet is rather restricted though and should not be used unless necessary.
