Filesystem choice for data disc

Recommended Posts

Guest Guest

At the risk of having someone tell me to read the FAQ's, I still don't understand which filesystem to use when burning a data disc. I wish to burn photos on a DVD at 4x speed. I have Windows XP which should not restrict me to Level 1 ISO. Considering my wish to burn photos on to a disc, do I use ISO2 for my data burn? When would I use ISO1, ISO2 or Joliet? I am afraid that the search and the subsequent FAQ was still too confusing for me. Thanks for the help.

I would like to learn more about the differences of ISO1, ISO2, and Joliet. The FAQ merely state what these filesystem are, but do not give examples of when each one is used. The FAQ refers to another website on CDR's. Where can I learn when each of these file system is used and which of these system is best used for archival of photos on DVD-R's? Thanks.
