I have a NEC N2510A and it is capable of burning at 8x. I also have 8x DVDRs and burnerXP will only let me burn at 4x or less. Anyone having similiar problems, or know a solution?

possible media incompatibility?

is the media specifically certified to burn at > 4X on the ND2510?

if the drive doesnt like the disc, it wont burn it at full speed.

Sorry for picking this up. I just started using cdburnerxp and I have this problem with 2510A.

I have no problems with nero or imgburn, they burn 8x just fine. I use Verbatim 16x dvd-r discs. So why does cdburnerxp burn only 4x while other programs seem to work with 8x as they should?
