Im a  new user. Im burning a CD. If I DONT finalise a disc will it just play on my pc and not a DVD player?

I know if I dont finalise it then I can add files later but finalising it prevents that

So the bottom line is I want the CD to play on a DVD player so I finalise it?

Hi, you are right: without closing/finalising the disk it won't be accepted by regular playback devices. Even the operating system will probably say there is no content on the disk. If you open a CD/DVD burning program it will recognise the existing sessions and ask you, what to do: to ignore them or to keep them.

You will want to finalize disks in order to use them on any other device.
