Could Not Install On XP

Recommended Posts

I have CDBurnerXP on my Windows XP which I am not using for this post.  Now that there is an update, my antivirus Baidu pulled the same behavior that it did during the previous update, causing the installer to disappear each time I downloaded it.  Despite everything I did to whitelist it, the program would not allow me to download and install the update.  This OpenCandy component, which upon further reading is not really a bug, is what Baidu recognizes as malware, as do other sources out there.  As much as I hated to do it, I had to disable my antivirus to install the newest update.  How do other users get around this?
